A new school year is fast approaching and as the new Parent Council Chairperson for W.E Gowling Public School, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Jayne Mathewson, I am a stay at home mother, as well as a caregiver. I am married and have two super daughters that have attended W.E.G. over the past six years.
In the past few years, I have spent a great deal of time in the school volunteering for trips, hot dog days and wherever an extra pair of hands were needed, thus I have gotten to know many of the staff and students. I am in the school three mornings a week as an active member of the W.E.G. Playgroup. I have also kept the Clothes Closet up and running for the past year and put in lots time with Annette Parent prior to the Millennium Carnival to help make it a great success.
As September is already here, we must set the wheels in motion. In the next few weeks our 2000-2001 M&M Fundraising Campaign will be in full swing. We look to you as parents and neighbours of W.E. Gowling Public School for your continued support in the coming year.
