These two photographs show the results of the gardening efforts of volunteers with the Stronghold - a community garden on just 15 inches of earth over the concrete parking garage. Note the two compost bins located to the rear on the higher ground, so that the run-off can flow downhill to feed the garden. Thank you to Ottawa Housing who have supported the project from the outset.
