The Carlington Summit

Thinking Day Celebration - On February 19, the 172nd Guide company hosted the annual Andrews District Thinking Day event. It was attended by more than 65 Sparks, Brownies and Guides. The evening involved several activities: cookie poster prizes were presented to the winners at all levels; each group shared a song; several games were played; and bracelets were made with beads representing each level in Guiding. The evening finished with the senior Guides putting on a puppet show which explained how Scouting and Guiding began.

Guiding Update - In January, we enrolled Jennifer Nicota and Ambur Sardinha, worked on our cookie posters and a variety of challenges. In February, we worked on preparations for the Thinking Day event. In March, we had a presentation on India and six of our girls attended the Division camp at Camp Woolsey. Upcoming events include a cookie blitz day on Saturday, April 21. Watch for the girls (Sparks, Brownies and Guides) coming to your door to sell our traditional chocolate and vanilla sandwich cookies. They are only $3.00 per box. Thank you in advance for your support.
