Welcome to the October issue of the Carlington Summit. This month's paper includes many stories about members of our community, as well as news from community organizations and sports groups. We are also proud to announce the launch of a Carlington Summit WebPage.
We are also publishing financial statements for the paper, for the year ended 31 August, 1999. We hope you find them informative. Some will note that we have a surplus in our bank account, and several Summit staff have suggested that we sponsor a Literacy/Writing activity in collaboration with our local schools. Please contact me personally if you are interested in helping with this, or have any other ideas as to how we could spend some money in support of our community.
