The Carlington Summit

Now that the double dose of elections in November is over, it is time to check in on who represents us and how we can get in touch with them.

On the federal scene, Carlington residents east of Merivale Road continue to be represented by Mac Harb. You may write to him at 552-D Centre Block, House of Commons, Ottawa, K1A 0A6 or call at 996-5322. His email is harbm@parl.gc.ca.

Carlington residents west of Merivale Road are again represented by Marlene Catterall. You may write to her at 451-S Centre Block, House of Commons, Ottawa, K1A 0A6 or call at 996-0984. Her email is cattem@parl.gc.ca.

The new City of Ottawa Councillor for River Ward, which includes Carlington, is Wendy Stewart. The email address will no doubt change, but for now it is stewartwe@rmoc.on.ca. You may write to her at 111 Lisgar Street, Ottawa K2P 2L7 or call at 560-1223.

English Catholic school supporters have a new trustee to represent their interests. Kathy Ablett may be reached at home at 523-3443 or using the generic school board email address of trustee_zone_09@www.occdsb.on.ca.

English public school ratepayers may contact Brian Gifford at 733-6685.

As previously reported in the November Summit, both French school board trustees were acclaimed. Ronald Saumure represents the French Catholic ratepayers and Jean Paul Lafond serves for the French public ratepayers. Lafond may be reached at 1332, rue Labrie, Gloucester (Ontario) K1E 3M1, by phone at 749-2511 or by email at Jean-Paul.Lafond@cepeo.on.ca. Ronald Saumure has his coordinates published on page 11.
