In praise of Balcony Gardening

These two photographs were taken on the same day. Both are of tomato gardens that were equally well tended. The difference is that the balcony garden gives total control of watering and nutrients to the gardener, and protects the plants from excesses of the elements, allowing for an extended season. (Too much rain brings on disease).
