The Carlington Summit

February is Black History Month: the celebration of the historical accomplishments of Africans in Canada. Another component is to educate our children about the accomplishment of the Black pioneers in Canada.

It has been four hundred years since Blacks have been living in Canada. During these years Black Pioneers have been part of many important milestones in Canada's history and culture.

There are events all over the city; helping the public to see what valuable contributions Canadian Blacks have made.

Carlington Community and Health Services has a display table about Black History and we encourage community members to attend the Black History events.
