Alexander Community Association News

We recently held our AGM and have a NEW eager and energetic Executive for the up-coming year. We wish the new Executive a fun filled year.

The Executive is already working full force on bringing the Dance Alliance Dancers out of town for upcoming Competitions.

We welcome Sue, Cathy, Alana, Nancy, Pat, Julie, Carolina and the many volunteers that have signed up for this year's Dance programme.

The Rink is also up and running to provide the Community with a wonderful ice skating experience, so please lace up those skates and come out and enjoy the ice at the Alexander Community Centre.

This year with such a demand for dance we held try-outs and with great success - we now have over 250 students and over 50 Competitive students in the Dance programme.

We have been so successful that we now offer recreational dance classes Tuesdays and Saturdays, and Competition classes every day of the week with the exception of Wednesday.

We offer a wide variety of dance for all skill levels and ages 3 - Adult: Tap , Jazz, Baton , Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Hip Hop, Stage, Vocal and Theatre.

Chad Lidster teaching Hip Hop and Ballet is always eager to build confidence in our students while teaching the students the many Hip Hop moves. Chad is teaching Hip hop on Saturdays and on Tuesday evenings. You can always hear the students speaking about Chad's great sense of humor and great dance technique.
